Workshop strategy
In balancing general and specialised approaches with the variety of insights brought in by participants, we aim to spread futures awareness and literacy in a variety of fields of study and areas of interest. Accessible to both academics and laypersons, students and professionals, our workshops act as building blocks for increasing futures thought in all walks of life for the betterment of all, especially marginalised communities. Our ultimate goal is to build futures-thinking, wisdom communities around the world to address the problems of the local as well as the global, aided by a rich diversity of worldviews while keeping context in mind.
Our most popular series of workshops is a three part series, spread out over the period of one year. Each workshop requires approximately 20 hours, optimally. This is often spread out over a two and a half day period. The series comprises:
- Workshop 1: An Introduction to Futures Studies
- Workshop 2: From Futures Literacy to Fluency - Advanced Futures Studies
- Workshop 3: Futures in Postnormal Times (An Intro to PNT Theory)
However, additional workshops can also be organised focusing on specific theories, methods, or questions/issues. This can also be used as a platform for developing a Futures Vision or to build a Strategic Plan or Futures Navigation. Each workshop is customised to the specifications of the organiser.
