Shenaz Bunglawala is a researcher, writer and strategist with research interests in political theology, public policy and media representations of Islam and Muslims in the UK media. She has worked across academia, think tanks, civil society organisations and in venture philanthropy over the past 25 years building a portfolio of expertise on British Muslim communities. Her advocacy work on equality and social cohesion has been recognised by the World Economic Forum and the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights. She is widely published on issues relating to Islamophobia, British Muslim civil society and political agency, and on media portrayals of Islam and Muslims in the British press. She convenes the British Muslim Futures Network at the Muslim Institute, where she is a Trustee, embedding Futures Literacy and Scenario-building in Muslim communities in the UK.
