Christopher (“Chris”) B. Jones, a futurist, was Secretary-General of the World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF; 2001-2005). He has taught futures studies in the US state systems of higher education in Hawaii, Oregon, Texas, and Colorado and currently serves as Adjunct Faculty, Southern New Hampshire University; and Futures & Foresight Scholar, DMS Academy. He was the founding Executive Director, the Transnormal Institute. He is a frequent contributor to Critical Muslim, an editorial board member of Futures, member of the WFSF Program Accreditation Council, WFSF Fellow, and member of the Association of Professional Futurists. Chris has been working with StoryCenter (Berkeley CA) to produce futures-oriented digital story maps and promotes digital wayfinding skills. His novel Fire and Ice (2005) explored eco-terrorism, alien First Contact, and the collapse of Western civilization. Chris specializes in qualitative futures inquiry, including brainstorming and creativity, horizon scanning and emerging issues analysis, scenario building, visioning, and the PNT Three Tomorrows scenario-building approach.
